How it all began

We were very good friends for several years both having solo singing careers then we decided to try as a duo and started to rehearse at the beginning of 2008 we had a lot of fun at our practice nights.Then in November 2008 we performed at a shop window which went well and the rest as they say is history the 2 chicks were born.

Hello my Name is Lynsey Jayne I started singing at a young age and had my first gig when i was 17 I had singing lessons when I was about 12 years old.My main influence was Kevin Bennett ,my first experience on stage was a music stand for my sister who played the clarinet in a completion. Hello my name is Just Jo I started singing at the age of 3 or 4 when I froze on stage and ran off crying at a holiday camp .I started having singing lessons when I was about 9 years old.My first gig was when I was 16 I started out in a Boy/Girl duo then soon after went solo. Tonight we should have had Lynsey Jayne, she brought her friend Jo with her, they call themselves The 2 Chicks. Due to other commitments in my family I was not in the club, the feedback from members was they gave an outstanding performance brilliant, fantastic, members cannot wait to see you next year thanks girls.

Charlemont Bowling Club

Tonight we should have been entertained by Linzie but unfortunately she had been involved in a car accident and was still shaken up and could not be with us. So on the phone to Jack to find someone else, and god bless The 2 Chicks were available. They gave a two wonderful sets and are getting better all the time. Everyone had a wonderful night and plenty of comments about the girls were recieved. So once again thanks to Lynsey and Jo for getting me out of a tight spot, and also to Jack. See you next year.

The Firs Institute, Burntwood

Another full house to see these two loveley young ladies. The club was filled with a friendly banter from the girls which the members particularly enjoyed. They sang a wide variety of songs that catered for all members and there lighthearted tribute to ABBA is second to none. Ha Ha. thanks girls for a very enjoyable evening.

Smethwick Labour Club

I had heard a lot about these two young ladies I was quite looking forward to seeing them.They did not disappoint they were pretty damn good .I have no hesitation in recommending you book these two young ladies.

Charlemont Bowling Club

Lynsey and Jo came to the Charlemont for the first time this evening and they did not disappoint .Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night,many thanks girls.

Parkes Hall Social Club (Charity Night)

The 2 Chicks were very good.They sang a variety of songs which included an ABBA tribute thanks for participating in a fantastic night.

Bloxwich R.B.L

On stage now we had the 2 chicks, having seen this act before I was pleased to see just how much they had improved. These girls are a must for any of our venues. Book with confidence as, I'm sure, The 2 Chicks will have near full diaries after today's performance.

Darlaston Sports and Social

The 2 Chicks were on stage this evening. Jo and Lynsey gave us an excellent night. They sing very well together. This was their first visit to the Darlo'. They went down very well with everyone. Many thanks to you both for a great night. Charlie and Les.

Bloxwich RBL.

The 2 Chicks are two 'birds' (sorry girls. I know - a terrible joke) who gave our 'crowd' a fabulous nights entertainment. They sang songs that suited their act, with good interchange that complemented each other. I especially enjoyed the Abba tribute. My thanks to you both. John.

Sedgley WMC

Bank Holiday lunchtime Bingo and Entertainment. The Entertainment supplied by the 2 chicks who were brilliant and gave us all a superb lunchtime of entertainment that had all our crowd enjoying this very versatile duo.

Darlaston Conservative Club

The 2 Chicks, a very pleasant and entertaining duo. Two super young girls they gave us a great night.

Friday March 19th 2010 Charity night at Bloxwich RBL for Golden wishes which is a charity to help terminally ill children Ivan Jones and Ricky Jones are also appearing on the night, and it starts at 8.pm.Please come along and support this fantastic charity

Friday 16th April 2010 Charity Night at Cheslyn Hey WMC for Compton Hospice Starts 8.pm please come along a support this great charity

 

 

Pelsall Labour Club

On the 12th August 2009 Jo was entertaining people of all ages with mental and physical handicaps, they always have a great night, but this evening Jo was joined by Lynsey and they did their ABBA set which went down a storm and everyone really enjoyed the evening.

Jo`s Dad Dave worked with a guy for over 20 years named Barry and like many places these days the factory where they both worked was closed down in 2007 so unfortunately they were both made redundant .Barry thought he might try is hand at something different seeing he had been an Engineer for over forty years, he had always been interested in Photography and had really taken to the digital era with the computer and stuff ,well since then one thing lead to another and he became interested in Website design and this Website the 2 chicks .com is all his work Photographs, design,all the technical stuff the lot.

We would like to thank Barry for what he has done for us we know he always does his best and we really appreciate it.
